I always wanted to do have my hands in clay, but as a single mother for many years, never had the chance.  My son left for college in 1997.  Soon after, I was walking down the street in NYC and stopped in my tracks.  “I can do clay now,” I realized.  That’s how it began.

I moved to Santa Fe in 2006 and have never looked back.  In addition to my ceramics, I am also a gardener, a lawyer and mediator, and a teacher at Breakthrough Santa Fe.   I have also been the host and producer of Santa Fe Stories, a podcast on all things Santa Fe.  I am passionate about art, kids and public education.   My art work can be seen at this site and at Clay and Color, and at La Mesa of Santa Fe on Canyon Road, Santa Fe New Mexico.   I have one son, two grandsons, two dogs and a wonderful world of friends and family.

In my former life, I taught English at Walton High School in the Bronx, New York before going to law school.  I practiced law in in New York and Washington DC for ten years.  My New York practice was complex corporate transactional work for public and private companies.   I also served as the General Counsel and Director of Policy of Common Good, an organization dedicated to common-sense legal reform.

Cheers!
